Mindfreak Enters PUBG

Posted by Mitch Johnston on

Mindfreak are excited to announce our entry into the PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds scene with the pick up of duo Nick 'Champzzzz' Champion and Andrew 'eDGe' McLaren.

Since releasing in March, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has continuously held some of the highest viewerships on Twitch, often rivaling the likes of League of Legends, Overwatch and Counterstrike Global Offensive.

Having background's in competitve COD4 ProMod, they were able to transition these skills into the PUBG arena. This in turn helps them to consistently hold 2 of the top 10 spots for the Oceanic region in 'duos' and often take the coveted 1st place for 'squads'.

“I’m thrilled to be be joining up with the Mindfreak organization! Since competing against them years ago in the COD4 scene and seeing the vision they held come to fruition over the years with both international and local success, I could not be more excited to embark on this journey with the Mindfreak family into the PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS scene and see what we can achieve together. ” - Nick 'Champzzzz' Champion

"
I'm excited to be teaming up with Mindfreak, an organization I have watched start and grow to the stage it is at now - there's no place I would rather be! With the sudden rise in popularity of PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS it only seems right. I would love to carry the Mindfreak name to the international stage and show the world what Australia is made of. I can't wait to take on this journey and see what we can do. ” - Andrew 'eDGe' McLaren

Both Nick and Andrew are among the first to join us as part of our streaming team, whilst also flying the Mindfreak banner in any competitive PUBG events that are held. Please welcome them to the MindFamily and support them on social media and Twitch.
