After asserting themselves as the top team at the Asia Pacific Qualifier on January 14, the Mindfreak Rainbow Six: Siege team earned themselves a spot in the largest worldwide Rainbow Six tournament to date.
Kicking off on February 13, teams from around the world will compete in Montreal, Canada for their share in a $500,000 prize pool. Initially, teams will battle within one of four brackets to earn their place in the playoffs. Mindfreak shares Bracket B alongside Team Liquid, Rogue, and ROOM FACTORY.
Mindfreak is also currently participating in Season 1 of the Rainbow Six: Siege ANZ Cup, wherein, they are currently undefeated having toppled Athletico, Verdict, and Lemon Squeezy in the opening weeks of competition.
Success in high-stakes tournaments for Mindfreak comes after a roster change and a transition from console to PC in 2017. In spite of naysayers the team continues to push forward and further solidify their position as the best in their region as well as one of the top teams in the world.
Tune in on February 13 to see them compete at the peak of the scene with the first games kicking off at 2am AEDT.
