The 2018 season of the Halo World Championship rolls through Orlando this Friday with the first global competition of the year set to feature more teams than any Halo event prior. Commencing at 1PM ET on Friday, February 16 and continuing through to the grand final matchup at 5PM ET on Sunday, February 18, the tournament boasts a prize pool of $50,000 with the top team walking away $20,000 richer as well as having gained 25,000 Pro Points per player. After asserting themselves as the top team at the Asia Pacific Qualifier on January 14, the Mindfreak Rainbow Six: Siege team earned themselves a spot in the largest worldwide Rainbow Six tournament to date. Kicking off on February 13, teams from around the world will compete in Montreal, Canada for their share in a $500,000 prize pool. Mindfreak is excited to announce our re-entry into Halo with the recruitment of Madison “Madsy” Stone, Ali “BZIIRK” Deran, Ryan “Junior” Dunkley, Daniel “Seduce” Franken and Bojan “Mantis” Gasic as coach. Having currently won both 2K series so far this season the team is positioned perfectly to qualify for MLG Orlando and are on the hunt to qualify for the HaloWC 2018 Finals in Seattle.
